Cottagecore pinecone African art
Treegirls are carefully crafted from pinecones that are harvested for size and shaped and sanded for a particular design. This treegirl features a lower pinecone that is also her skirt and the natural petals have been manipulated to a shorn state, giving them a fringed layered appearance. The two tone orange and green just set the tone for her a vibrancy. Her head is an acorn and dressed with Spanish moss as long, wild locks of hair. Her arms are made from wire and coated in a nontoxic material. This entire work, including material harvesting, body construction, paint, costume construction is done free hand, making all Treegirls truly unique individuals. She depicts a Uganda woman returning from market. She is alive with detail and interest as she balances her acorn cap basket filled with various beads and dried flora. Her shoulder sack is leather covered in found butterfly/moth wings. Her jewelry is all designed and beaded to match her presentation. Great detail is put into this entire presentation. The vervet monkey is made from a pinecone bud with botanical appendages and wisteria tail. Super unique art piece with three pinecones (from the same species of pine) but harvested at different growth stages to create this ethereal work. At 11.5" tall, this work comes with artist Certificate of Authenticity, description card, and display stand for immediate enjoyment. Ready to provide a lifetime of wonder and amazement. Treegirls are the only doll that grew on trees.
